Savory Mushroom Bhaji Medley

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or ghee)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish


Steps

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and sauté until they sizzle.
  3. Stir in the chopped onions, cooking until they become translucent.
  4. Add the garlic, ginger, and green chilies, sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Mix in the turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala, cooking for another minute.
  6. Add the sliced mushrooms, stirring well to coat them in spices.
  7. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and cooked through.
  8. Season with salt to taste, adjusting spice levels as preferred.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving hot.
