Ingredients

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


Steps

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese and egg until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the ricotta mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in the grated Parmesan and chopped herbs until evenly distributed.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until shimmering.
